A few points:

1.when waiting for device, check the phone screen --- debugging (click OK)

2. Look for LG serial port --- manually go to DOWNLOAD mode   (power off --Press volume up  -- hold --- connect USB cable)

After rooting, here is how you disable the annoying "Hands Free Activation" pop-up

1. Download ES File Explorer (or any other file manager with root mode) on Google Play Store
2. Go to the /system folder (click on "sdcard" at top and click on "device". Find the /system folder ---> click on "app" folder
3. Find the following file named "LGDMSClient.apk"
4. Click rename and rename it to "LGDMSClient.bak"


(long time Press the file will show "rename" button on the bottom of screen.

In this post Smartphone Clinic will provide a tutorial on How to Root LG Volt LGLS740 (Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile) with using a computer. In this tutorial we will use the Windows computer. This method should work on any LG official firmware (Kitkat 4.x.x / Lollipop 5.x.x). Preparation

• Make sure your phone battery is charged to 70% or more
• Enable USB Debugging, by open Settings > Developers Option > USB Debugging
  If Developers Option is hidden, go to Settings > General > About phone > Common > Software info (tap on it for 5-8 times)
• Download and Install the LG driver on the PC
• Download and extract the LG One Click Root

• Connect your device with computer
• Run One Click Script by double-clicking the LG Root Script.bat file
• This will open a command window. Follow the instructions.
